CSPromod devs introducing CS:Legacy

The team behind CSPromod is introducing CS:Legacy, a fully standalone remake of Counter-Strike 1.6, built from the ground up on Valve’s official Source Engine SDK.

What is CS:Legacy?
CS:Legacy is a fully standalone remake of Counter-Strike 1.6, built from the ground up with 100% custom code and game assets (textures, models, sounds, animations, UI, etc). The game is built on Valve’s official 2013 Source Engine SDK codebase, with our own major rewrites to the renderer, shaders and various systems.

When will CS:Legacy release, and where?
CS:Legacy will be released on Steam in 2025 as an Early Access title

Which engine is CS:Legacy running on?
CSL is running on its own advanced custom branch of Valve’s official Source Engine 2013 public SDK. Our engine features a custom renderer, Physically Based Rendering shaders, completely rewritten reflection system, fully custom UI, custom in-house source engine tools and many more features.

Who is developing CS:Legacy?
CS:Legacy is developed by a small indie studio of senior developers that worked on CSPromod together from 2008 to 2012, and teamed up again to create CS:Legacy!
